The beach bars reopen Memorial Day weekend with, of course, Revel’s HQ Beach Bar and Margaritaville’s LandShark Bar & Grill taking center stage as the latest additions east of the Boardwalk.
The resort's new Thursday night comedy series, which debuted earlier this month, will be sticking around at least through the summer. The May schedule, which you won't find anywhere else, is detailed here..
No East Coast town does New Year’s Eve better than Atlantic City and its environs (yes, New York City, that includes you), so here are a few suggestions for those who have not yet gotten around to planning out their big night.
Brian Ireland is a Ducktown bartender and lifelong Ventnor resident who, at age 26, can already claim eight years as a professional mixologist and amateur advice dispenser.
If the Eagles don’t improve on their 8-8 slate of 2011, or fail to make the playoffs for a second straight year, head coach Andy Reid will likely not return for a 15th season.
Revel, the glittering jewel at the north end of the Atlantic City Boardwalk, has had a rough beginning on the gaming side of the ledger since it opened in late spring. However, on the entertainment side, it has delivered positive vibrations and national headlines.
Atlantic City is staring down the barrel of Labor Day weekend after experiencing the single most diverse array of live entertainment ever presented here during one summer. Not just during the last 34 summers of the casino era, either, but throughout its entire gaudy, bawdy and, occasionally tawdry 160-year-old past.
Summer is winding down but don’t get depressed yet. The weather will still be warm for another month and the inviting beach and ocean will not lose its allure just because Labor Day comes and goes.
More properties are structuring their social schedules and nightlife scenes around pools, and not just during the summer months.
From the famous organ at Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Pop Festival of 1969, to Boardwalk Empire era tales and KY & the Curb.
From the city's 150th birthday celebration, casino changes and evolution within Atlantic City and, casino shows, then and now.
Like a slinky, the basic concept was pretty simple, but once Boogie Nights was unveiled on what seemed to be a retro-starved public about five years ago, the ’70s and ’80s themed nightclub took off like Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon.
A guide to events, festivals and more during the flowering season in the Jersey shore region.
Versatile entertainer Stephen Sorrentino has been doing impressions since the age of five, is a multi-instrumentalist, pursued a career as a rock singer and has toured and performed for Legends in Concert with his Elton John tribute. All of the skills he honed in those stops along the way come together in his engaging musical comedy variety show Stephen Sorrentino: Voices in the Head.
Roth: 'The problem today is that kids don’t study and they should. They should study the Beach Boys for harmonies. They should study ZZ Top up until 1983 for guitar work. There’s a lot they should study. But a lot of young recording artists don’t study; they just do it on their own. That’s not right.'
Joseph Muldoon, the 20- something whiz kid chef installed at Bally’s elegant supper club The Reserve just over two years ago, will never be accused of taking his charges lightly.
Area casinos provide opportunities to win cash and prizes, as well as offering special room rates and other upgrades and amenities based on your casino play
The Atlantic Club Locals Plus program is devoted exclusively to local players. Locals Plus is the casino's way of giving you more of what you deserve — a great value, great rewards, and a great time.
he quarterfinals are this Thursday, Sept. 1, and the semifinals are the following Thursday, Sept. 8. The championship round will take place Sept. 15.
After the city’s July 4th weekend celebration, including a fireworks display at the 9th St. Beach on Monday, the city settles into its summer routine.
There’s a new player in Atlantic City as the Golden Nugget officially took over operations of the former Trump Marina Tuesday, promising a $100 to $150 million renovation of the aging, and frankly, somewhat boring casino.

Pride abounded during Dusk’s guided tour and ribbon-cutting ceremony inside Caesars during the summer of 2009 — and with good reason. The multi-tiered, 10,000-square-foot nightclub was cutting-edge to the core, more spacious and designed differently than anything Atlantic City had seen to that point, and bolstered by a top-flight lighting-and-sound system and some of the best house and special-guest DJs in the business.
Trey Songz never thought he would become a pop sensation when he was growing up in tiny Petersburg, Virginia. The small southern town was best known as the hometown of basketball legend/NBA Hall of Famer Moses Malone, that is until Songz came along.
Usually the weekend before a holiday is relatively quiet, with the casinos and other venues holding back their big events for the holiday weekend that follows. And while there is an amazing amount of anticipation surrounding Memorial Weekend with Beyonce choosing Revel for her first post-baby concerts, this weekend isn’t exactly sloppy seconds.
July 4th is on a Wednesday this year, which is usually a good thing for resort businesses. It means that some Jersey shore visitors will celebrate the holiday the weekend before the holiday and some will celebrate the weekend after the holiday, which equates to more business for everyone … at least that is the theory.

“Best kept secret in South Jersey - Most entertaining lounge act appearing at Bally;s Lounge Bar - TEDDI FUSCO TRIO. A must see!”

“The casinos are hurting....maybe a suggestion would be to bring back some of the GREAT entertainment that they used to have. Ken McBride was at Harrah's, Johnny Ingram and Vicki Austin too. At the Taj, before they put in more slot machines we all used to dance up and down the esculators to the music of Tom Pizzi and his band.....those were the days my friend....these acts used to pack them in.......

“I still say, you also need entertainment for the "older" crowd as well as the younger people! Many of the people who frequent these casinos are 50 and would love to hear music such as Doo Wop, as well as some "old style Vegas" music! They cater way too much to the younger crowd. I really believe this is just ONE of the issues why the casinos are hurting right now. Bring back some "old style Vegas" in the lounges, Sinatra, Dino, Tom Jones, The Four Seasons, that style NEVER dies! Check out: www.bobgauvreau.com Now HERE'S an entertainer for the lounges!!!”

“The entertainment departments of the casino/hotels are a joke. There at least 1,000 acts who are selling tickets in every market in the U.S. and can't get booked in an AC venue, because the buyers working for the hotel has never heard of them. The lounges are even worse. The lounges could be booking 2nd and 3rd tier bands who will bring people into the casino, but instead it's mostly DJ's, and acts who perform for a percentage of the bar. There's an act who plays the Taj every week. On thursday's they might have 30 people in the lounge.”

“ATLANTIC CITY is our home away from home. Atlantic City Weekly is my favorite paper. When I go to A.C. I find my A.C. Weekly first. I now use it online to suggest A.C. fun to my fb friends. We love the gambling, buffets, comp rooms, comp drinks in the Casinos, Casino Entertainment, Casino shopping and Outlet shopping. We will be there several times during 2012. Atlantic City always welcomes us back. Love it. Laura Gall”

“Blanche was mediocre and a bit condescending. Every time we visit, she's singing the same tired songs. T Fox was much better.”

“IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FANTASTIC SHOW Tropicana Showroom has the most amazing show in town. STEPHEN SORRENTINO is a class A Las vegas type show. This man is the most talented man in the business these days. We have seen his show 4 times since he has been at Trop. THE BIG SHOW reminds us of what Atlantic City used to provide in the way of entertainment. 8 dancers, live band and STEPHEN SORRENTINO.
Songs, Laughs, personality and some really hysterical and touching moments..WOW!!!!”

“I'm trying to find out if Teddi Fusco is playing anywhere in AC. She used to be in the Lounge at Bally's on FRI. & SAT. at 10:00 pm. We miss her music and great voice. It's was a blast and danced all night! If anyone knows where she is playing, please let me know.”

“Why the heck didnt Tropicana Keep the show VOICES that they had. Finally that casino got a real show that WORKED. They should have kept that show in town as long as they could. I know it plays vegas and it is obvious why...the star Stephen Sorrentino is FANTASTIC.
I have a feeling that another casino will bring them back for a long stay. We need more of THAT type of show AC!!!!”

“Atlantic City I have one question for you....Do You Wanna Get Rocked? You don’t have tickets to see Def Leppard in Atlantic City? You have tickets but can’t wait for the big show? Then head on out the Atlantic Casino Beach Bar Saturday night July 7th for the Def Leppard Rock of Ages tour pre-party featuring ADRENALIZE - The Premier Def Leppard Experience! Drink specials, giveaways and all your favorite Def Leppard songs (and maybe even a few surprise) all night long. So don't spend Saturday Night High and Dry, come on down the Atlantic Casino Beach Bar for a Rock of Ages great time! Show time starts at 9PM and we will Rock Til Ya Drop or 1 am (which ever come first).”

“Gardner's Basin is an excellent venue for rock & roll and doo-wop concert type performers... maybe even an occassional country & western. Need to attract a wider cross-section of the local population to that area of town.”

“The entertainment value is a 2-no live music on casino floors no dancing
just slots slots slots I prefer PHILLY no need to drive 60 miles
Boardwalk is a JOKE like thieves in the night leave children at home nothing there for them to do
Slots are set at a LOW % to win that $200 action is about 2 hours of playing time if you play 40 cents a spin”

“I have visited Atlantic City two times in the last year and stayed at Resorts Casino both times. Each time we were there, the performer in the 25 hour bar was Sherry Gold and her husband. We don't usually stay for the entertainment, but we couldn't pull ourselves away. Sherry brought the room to life with her incredible energy and even more incredible voice.
We stayed and danced all night, and were thrilled to see her back on our next visit. Definitely one of Atlantic Cities best kept secrets.”
