The genre-jumping artist performs live for free on Friday, Jan. 20.
First it was Ed Kowalczyk from the band Live.
Then it was the Gin Blossoms, Go-Go Gadget, Fuel and then ....
So how will Showboat's House of Blues Casino Party Pit free concert series kick off 2012?
Surely concert-goers will be jumping around for this one.
Everlast, also known as Whitey Ford and from his House of Pain rap group, will take the stage of the House of Blues Casino Party Pit (at Showboat, off the Boardwalk) at 10pm and is expected to perform songs from throughout his genre-jumping career, including "Jump Around" from his House of Pain days; "What It’s Like" and "Ends" from his Whitey Ford Days; "Put Your Lights On" from his collaboration with Carlos Santana; and "This Is War" and "Skull And Guns" from his La Coka Nostra days.
The concert is free, but the earlier you come, the better seats you'll get as reservations will not be accepted.
“Everlast’s versatility and range make him the perfect artist to open up The House of Blues Casino Party Pit in 2012,” says Jason Spencer, regional director of entertainment for Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City. “No where else on the East Coast are you going to find talent of this caliber for free; Showboat hasn’t just raised the bar, it has set the standard for party pits everywhere.”
