ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Josh Heffler, CEO of LineRocket Entertainment, co-host of the Dec. 31 Life in Color New Year's Eve Bash with Steve Aoki, tells Atlantic City Weekly that due to the enormous success of the event, held at Bader Field in A.C., the event will likely "become an annual tradition considering the wall to wall sold out success we had this year."

Heffler, who's company live-streamed the Life in Color event via four different Web sites, says he was very impressed with Atlantic City, the crowd and the outdoor venue. (The event was held inside a giant heated tent.)

"LineRocket Entertainment plans to become the sole source of EDM music festivals in Atlantic City and we have some big plans to bring the top artists in the world for Memorial Day weekend and July 4th weekend," says Heffler. "In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, it is a crucial time to boost the revenues and social morale with music festivals in Atlantic City."

Heffler plans to stream any subsequent festivals in A.C. live "to ensure the world has a chance to see these incredible events that draw tens of thousands of people  to Atlantic City."

LineRocket's next live stream will be a 30-day spring break event series called "Electro Beach," held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Heffler says it will feature top EDM artist Tiesto "among many others."

The Color Run's ‘Kaleidoscope Tour’ Hits Bader Field
By Ray Schweibert

ATLANTIC CITY — One of the largest event series in the world — and now the single largest event series in the United States — The Color Run returns to Atlantic City’s Bader Field for the third year on Saturday, Oct. 11. This year’s tour is dubbed the “Kaleidoscope Tour.” “Kaleidoscopes demonstrate the beauty of motion and change,” says The Color Run founder Travis Snyder, who hosted over 170 events in over 30 countries in 2013. “Whether it’s new runners getting ready for their first 5K, or seasoned athletes remembering what it feels like to just run for fun, the Kaleidoscope Tour will be an unforgettable event.” The Color Run is the originator and innovator of the paint-race genre and continues to expand. This year it is slated to take place in more than 50 countries and 240 cities worldwide. It was started by Snyder as an effort to promote healthy living in a fun way. It is an untimed race that requires only that runners wear white at the starting line and brace themselves to finish the 5K (3.2-mile) course plastered in a multitude of colors. Participants will be doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. The...

Lars Ulrich on Why Metallica Chose Atlantic City for June Music Festival
By Josh Kinney

"[Atlantic City's] location was really central. You’ve got good facilities, it’s not, you know, like 39 miles on some two-lane country road — that kind of vibe, you know, so it’s just the fact that it’s practical, there’s a lot of facilities and since we’re not doing like a camping thing we thought it would be good to be close to infrastructure so the fans do have like the backbone of a place like Atlantic City at their disposal."
