ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Josh Heffler, CEO of LineRocket Entertainment, co-host of the Dec. 31 Life in Color New Year's Eve Bash with Steve Aoki, tells Atlantic City Weekly that due to the enormous success of the event, held at Bader Field in A.C., the event will likely "become an annual tradition considering the wall to wall sold out success we had this year."
Heffler, who's company live-streamed the Life in Color event via four different Web sites, says he was very impressed with Atlantic City, the crowd and the outdoor venue. (The event was held inside a giant heated tent.)
"LineRocket Entertainment plans to become the sole source of EDM music festivals in Atlantic City and we have some big plans to bring the top artists in the world for Memorial Day weekend and July 4th weekend," says Heffler. "In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, it is a crucial time to boost the revenues and social morale with music festivals in Atlantic City."
Heffler plans to stream any subsequent festivals in A.C. live "to ensure the world has a chance to see these incredible events that draw tens of thousands of people to Atlantic City."
LineRocket's next live stream will be a 30-day spring break event series called "Electro Beach," held in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Heffler says it will feature top EDM artist Tiesto "among many others."
New ownership plans an ambitious, but brief bill of fare, characterized as “distinctly American. A place where a lot of different things happen.”
The Life in Color NYE event was such a success that the promoters are already thinking about staging a similar event at the former airport over the July 4 holiday.
There were parties galore in Atlantic City on New Year's Eve 2013, including casino-wide celebrations, the Life in Color event at Bader Field and Tiesto.

"[Atlantic City's] location was really central. You’ve got good facilities, it’s not, you know, like 39 miles on some two-lane country road — that kind of vibe, you know, so it’s just the fact that it’s practical, there’s a lot of facilities and since we’re not doing like a camping thing we thought it would be good to be close to infrastructure so the fans do have like the backbone of a place like Atlantic City at their disposal."
Atlantic City Weekly will be bringing you live photos, blogs and more from the DMBC festival this weekend at Bader Field in Atlantic City.

" I’m the baseball that kind of like crashed through the window on the side of the house and fell into the living room."

In a perfect world, if the casinos had their way, the year would always end on a Friday or Saturday. It would never end on a Monday, as it does this year.
Headlining the countdown to midnight is famed electro house artist and DJ, Steve Aoki, who will be joined by Tommy Trash, Adventure Club, and David Solano.

“I worked at this AWESOME Event! The cooperation between all the parties to make this a reality was impressive! The city needs more entertainment beyond the casinos to thrive in this competitive market~”
