Life in Color brings the world's largest paint party to Atlantic City for an EDM-packed 2013 New Year's Eve party.
ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY — Bader Field will host a 2013 New Year's Eve event that will paint the town red, and green, and blue, and yellow.
Formerly known as Dayglow, Life in Color is the world’s largest paint party, featuring some of the hottest names in electronic dance music (EDM) today.
Headlining the countdown to midnight is famed electro house artist and DJ, Steve Aoki, who will be joined by Tommy Trash, Adventure Club, and David Solano.
On Wednesday, Dec. 5, Aoki spoke to Atlantic City Weekly from London about why he chose Atlantic City as the place to rock it on New Year's Eve.
"[There were] actually a couple different offers and one was like playing in Thailand, off the island, like a private island gig. And then I was like A.C.? Thailand? Thailand would be sick, it’d be f---ing sweet. But yeah, of course I picked A.C., because I love Atlantic City. More importantly, I love New Jersey. I love the Jersey crowd, the New York crowd, the Philadelphia crowd.
"All the surrounding areas of A.C., and that’s why I love coming there. It’s not really the city, it’s the people. The people there are awesome. Like, all my shows, even if they’re dressed to the nines they’re still raging f---ing crazy. Really, really energetic crowd, really passionate crowd, they make it memorable each time."

The celebration starts at 6pm on Monday, Dec. 31, and will last until 2am.
Guests must be at least 18 years to enter, 21 to drink, and need a valid ID for admission.
Bader Field, which hosted the Metallica Orion Music + More festival in June, and the Dave Matthews Band Caravan the previous year, among other events, such as this fall's Seafood Festival, will be lined with food and beverage vendors, as well as Life in Color and artist merchandise available for purchase.
A custom-made heated tent will provide warmth against the cold, and the event will take place rain or shine.
Tickets are now available at lifeincolor.com/nye for $99, $159, and $250.
Atlantic City will be hosting a healthy dose of EDM on and around New Year's Eve with Kaskade (Dec. 30) and Tiesto at Revel's Ovation Hall (Dec. 31), Dave Guetta (Dec. 28) and Rusko (Dec. 29) at the House of Blues. Venues such as Providence at the Tropicana Quarter, Dusk at Caesars, the Borgata's Mixx and mur.mur, the Pool at Harrah's, HQ at Revel, and other venues in town will surely be offering dance parties galore.

"I’m very rarely in the studio, only when I have tracks I feel need special attention, but usually I’m on the tour bus with a laptop and headphones. "
The inaugural Dusk DJ Series is underway and will decide who will claim a coveted residency at Caesars’ cutting-edge, multi-tiered nightclub.
"LineRocket Entertainment plans to become the sole source of EDM music festivals in Atlantic City and we have some big plans to bring the top artists in the world for Memorial Day weekend and ..."
" I’m the baseball that kind of like crashed through the window on the side of the house and fell into the living room."
Among A.C.’s future entertainment focal points will be the legendary Brits performing their rock opera ‘Quadrophenia’ at Boardwalk Hall in 2013.
If nothing else, 2012 was a year of partnerships and coming together in the Atlantic City region.
In a perfect world, if the casinos had their way, the year would always end on a Friday or Saturday. It would never end on a Monday, as it does this year.
“What we’re seeing right now [in A.C.] is Revel and Borgata going head-to-head with these big-name house DJs. They have become celebrities who get anywhere from $20,000 upwards of $200,000 per night for a couple of hours, and most of the time they’ll sell out these arenas or nightclubs. ... They’re the new celebrities.”
"Do you think I am sexy?" Lady Gaga asked the sold-out Boardwalk Hall crowd. "I’m severely unconfident in myself so I kind of abuse this part of the show. So do you think I’m sexy?”
Whether your summer romance turns into a fling or something a bit more substantial, everyone deserves to fill their summer platters with heaping helpings of love. Sangria-fueled nights and stolen glances across dance floors await this summer — so what are you waiting for? Below is a selection of hotspots for your own summer lovin’ to potentially take flight in Atlantic City.
With a stellar lineup slated for this weekend, Nov. 9-11, the club, in collaboration with associates Angel Management Group, the EMM Group and Revel, will be utilizing the performances from all three nights, and the revenue they generate, as an opportunity to reach out to a local community in dire need.
Providence’s latest endeavor is a special mid-week party that runs throughout the summer called Pink House, which diverts slightly from its varied dance-music format and focuses more exclusively on electronic dance music (EDM) every Wednesday from 11pm-4am.
“It’s going to be a great show. Atlantic City’s a great place because you can do so many different events, give sponsors so many different looks and feels and ways to interact with the audiences.”
