Final Days for Casino Revues

Straight No Chaser return to Atlantic City in November after a summer-long run at Harrah's Resort.

You know summer is almost over when every other commercial on TV is about back-to-school specials.

In Atlantic City, a similar indicator is when the summer revues at the casino showrooms present their final shows of the run.

At Trump Plaza, V: The Ultimate Variety Show, presents its final shows on Thursday, Sept. 2, 8pm; Friday, Sept. 3, 9pm; Saturday, Sept. 4, 3 and 8pm and Sunday, Sept. 5, 3 and 7pm. This delightfully entertaining evening features the very amusing emcee Michael Holly, master ventriloquist Ronn Lucas, magician Jason Byrne and the quick-change adagio team, Pasha & Aliona. Trump Taj Mahal hosts Cirque Dreams: Jungle Fantasy, the imaginative combination of music, extravagant costumes and world class acrobats, aerialists and strongmen. The final shows are Thursday, Sept. 2, 8pm; Friday, Sept. 3, 9pm and Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4-5, 3:30 and 8pm. Tickets are $25.50 and $35.50. (Watch video)

For a more adult twist, there is the audience participation show Hypnosterical 2 starring Joe Boccuti at Trump Marina. It is hilariously funny and edgy, with audience members coming up on stage to be put under Bocutti’s spell — making for an R-rated, adult-oriented comedy hypnosis show. The final shows are Thursday, Sept. 2, 9pm, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 3-4, 10pm, and Sunday, Sept. 5, 9pm. Tickets are $25. (Watch video)

Finally, Straight No Chaser, the terrific a capella group, has already completed its summer gig at Harrah’s Resort. However, if you missed them, circle the dates Nov. 26-27. That’s when Straight No Chaser brings its holiday-inspired show to Caesars. The showtime is 8pm both nights and tickets are $40, $50 and $65.
