This year, the Borgata is adding a special video twist to its annual Babes of Borgata Calendar, which features local Borgata associates.
ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY — Who doesn't need a new calendar for 2013? Well, the 2013 Babes of Borgata Calendar is on sale now, just as this Friday (Black Friday) officially kicks off the holiday shopping season.
Renowned photographer Amber Gray shot this year's calendar for Borgata. Gray's portfolio includes Maybelline NY, Marie Claire, Mont Blanc, Sony, Madame Figaro, Elle Germany, Penelope Cruz, Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, Maria Sharapova, Roisín Murphy, John Turturro, Nina Hagen and Tyra Banks.
Gray also shot the Borgata's “The Show That Never Ends” branding campaign, including those surreal billboards around the region.
The 2013 “Babes of Borgata” were selected after 100 Borgata "associates" auditioned for a spot in the 12-month calendar.
“It is truly an honor to be featured in such a unique and tastefully designed project,” said Stephanie Calabrese, the 2013 calendar cover girl (and a costumed beverage server at B Bar).
“From the auditions, to the shoot, to the calendar launch, this has been an awesome experience; one that I will remember forever.”
There will be an official launch party for the 2013 Babes of Borgata Calendar Monday, Dec. 10, at the Borgata's mur.mur nightclub. DJ Ruckus will provide the music and guests "are invited to come celebrate with the 2013 calendar girls at Borgata's exclusive nightclub experience," according to a statement from the Borgata.
This year, Borgata will offer more than just the physical calendar for sale ($13.95), as exclusive behind-the-scenes footage featuring the Babes of Borgata 2013 Calendar girls will be accessible via Borgata's social media starting on Friday, Nov. 23.
Beginning Black Friday, Borgata's Facebook page will post "an individual behind-the-scenes video each day starting with the cover girl, Stephanie."
The Borgata's Facebook page will also offer a “Babes of Borgata” contest for the "chance to win an personalized calendar, exclusive meet & greet with the girls and VIP bottle service at mur.mur."
The calendar, which features mainly local ladies (such as Jessica, above) posing on the grounds of the Borgata and its Water Club, will be available for purchase at Borgata retail outlets WHIM, Cameo at The Water Club, and online at shopborgata.com.
