ATLANTIC CITY — Golden Nugget may be new in town … er, make that new BACK in town, but the acclaimed casino brand name knows that the fall is no time to slow down when it comes to fun at the shore.
Two exciting events will be happening at the Golden Nugget this fall. The inaugural Bubba Gump Company Shrimp Fest will take place Saturday, Sept. 3 from noon-8pm at The Deck. Embrace your inner “Forrest Gump” and indulge in an entire Bubba Gump Shrimp Company-inspired menu, specialty drinks, live entertainment, retail tents and fun games on The Deck,
overlooking Frank S. Farley State Marina. Admission to the festival is free.
Two weeks later, satisfy your brew cravings at an event that’s been a proven winner for a couple of years — the 2011 Craft Beer Festival. This year’s will be bigger and better, and has been expanded into two days. The first day, Saturday, Sept. 17, will featire the All American Craft Beer Tasting sponsored by Samuel Adams, from 7-10pm in Golden Nugget’s Grand ballroom. Guests will have the opportunity to sample over 200
craft beer selections and enjoy chef-inspired cuisine while listening to
live music and mingling with some of America’s hottest award-winning
brew masters.
One of the highlights of the evening will be the traditional “tapping of the kegs,” featuring several seasonal artisan draft beers. Additionally, each guest will receive a commemorative glass as a souvenir. Tickets to the event are available for purchase in advance for $49-per-person and are all-inclusive.
The party continues on Sunday, Sept. 18, as guests can join the Nugget’s “Beer Maidens” for a traditional Oktoberfest Party (OK, we know it’s in September, don’t be picky) sponsored by Paulaner Beer from Munich. The event will be held on The Deck from noon-6pm and admission is free. Beer enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of different international and domestic beers available for purchase while listening to great live music.

Ever since Tilman Fertitta, CEO of Landry’s Inc., took over the former Trump Marina last May and brought back the Golden Nugget brand to Atlantic City, the casino’s slogan has been, “Watch the Transformation.” Now the transformation is complete, and the Golden Nugget is throwing a four-day party April 26-29 to celebrate with its official Grand Opening Kick-Off Weekend.
