ATLANTIC CITY — So well received was last year’s appearance at the Taj’s 5,000-seat Mark G. Etess Arena (tickets sold out almost instantly) that Furthur — founded and fronted by original Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh and rhythm guitarist Bob Weir — returns to Atlantic City this November.

This time the band brings its act to historic Boardwalk Hall, a venue that can accommodate about three times the Deadheads. The show is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12, at 7pm (doors open 5:30pm).

Along with Lesh and Weir (pictured right), Furthur features an all-star lineup that includes keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and drummer Jay Lane (both of Weir’s solo band Ratdog), lead guitarist John Kadlecik (formerly of the highly regarded Dead tribute group Dark Star Orchestra), drummer Joe Russo and vocalists Sunshine Becker and Jeff Pehrson.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 16, and are priced at $59.50, $49.50 and $39.50 Tickets can be purchased at the Boardwalk Hall Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, by calling 800-736-1420 or by going to the band’s Web site.
