The Queen of Southern cooking brings her perky personality to the Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival
Superstar chef Paula Deen has joined the Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival lineup.
The Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival, was already a star-studded event with Guy Fieri, Ted Allen, Pat and Gina Neely, Anne Burrell, Sandra Lee and Alex Guarnaschelli, but this week we learned that Paula Deen is joining the party.
Deen, host of Food Network’s Paula’s Best Dishes, has graced the homes of people across the country through her Food Network show and series of cookbooks, including Paula Deen and Friends: Living It Up, Southern Style, The Lady and Sons Savannah Country Cookbook, The Lady and Sons Too and The Lady and Sons Just Desserts. Tickets for Paula Deen’s events will go on sale this Saturday, June 26.
She will headline the following events on Sunday, August 1:
• Paula’s Boardwalk Party: Nothing says “Summer on the Shore” like a great big party on the Boardwalk, and Deen will provide fabulous food, luscious libations and sun, sand and surf. Try some of Paula’s favorite summer recipes as well as the delicious dishes of Bally’s own chefs between noon and 3pm at Bally’s Dennis Courtyard.
• Chefs on Stage: Paula takes the stage at Caesars Circus Maximus Theater from 5–6pm for an exciting culinary demonstration. She will join her fans immediately following the exhibition for a book signing and photo opp from 6–7pm.
The Food Network Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival, hosted by Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s and Showboat, will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and will be a national, star-studded, four-day destination event July 29-Aug. 1, showcasing the talents of the world’s most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities.
Here is a comprehensive guide for parking and transportation for the thousands upon thousands of visitors to this weekend's Food Network extravaganza, including a detailed listing of each event.
Do you hear that rumbling rolling in from out in the distance? No, it’s not the accompanying thunder from a series of midsummer thunderstorms. What you’re noticing, should you listen carefully, is the sound of the biggest food weekend on the calendar around these parts.
