American Idol Live! comes to the Taj in Atlantic City July 10
The top ten American Idols perform in Atlantic City on July 10 at the Taj.
This year the American Idols Live! Tour is making an early stop in Atlantic City. Instead of late August/September, we get the Idols just a few days into their tour, which begins July 1 in Detroit.
The Idols will arrive in Atlantic City on July 10, 7:30pm, at the Trump Taj Mahal's Mark G. Etess Arena. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, May 15, at 10am via Ticketmaster. Tickets are $76.50 and $96.50.
After the most recent show, the three finalists left are Crystal Bowersox, this year’s frontrunner, Lee DeWyze and Casey James. The other seven performers on the tour are Aaron Kelly, Andrew Garcia, Didi Benami, Katie Stevens, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus and Tim Urban.
Simon Fuller, creator and executive producer of American Idol said on the official Web site, “We are all looking forward to this year’s American Idol Live! Tour. This is always one of the highlights of the year. Each of the Idols have the chance to meet the people that voted for them and perform at incredible venues all over America, another special moment in their developing careers.”
While this year’s group does not have the star power of Kris Allen and Adam Lambert, Crystal Bowersox has proven that an Idol contestant with the soulful vibe of a indie style singer-songwriter can use the Idol platform as a successful showcase.
In 2009, the American Idols Tour played at Boardwalk Hall, a 12,000-seat venue. This year, the show is taking place at the much smaller Mark G. Etess Arena at the Trump Taj Mahal this Saturday.
