ATLANTIC CITY — The 2012 Miss'd America Pageant drew a large crowd to Boardwalk Hall's ballroom on Saturday night, Jan. 21. The show, produced by Mark A. Dahl, featured 14 drag queens (men dressed as women) competing to become the new Miss'd America.

Following the pageant, an after party was held at Resorts Casino Hotel's gay-themed Pro Bar. Caesars Entertainment held its 4th annual OUT in AC weekend, featuring a slew of gay-themed events at its local properties.

The pageant, which started as a spoof on the Miss America Pageant in the early 1990s, has been an annual event over the past few years, with larger crowds, special guests and numerous contestants from all over the country.

Last year's Miss'd America Kitty Hiccups, who dazzled the crowd near the end of the pageant with her spectacular singing voice (unfortunately, a good portion of the contestants this year lip-synced) crowned Sabel Scities (of New York) the winner of this year's pageant, which was hosted by TV personality and Allentown, Pa., native Carson Kressley and featured performances by Martha Wash (from the Weather Girls) and Erika Schiff.

Here is video from the pageant; below the video are assorted photos from the pageant. Check back for more photos soon:

Definition of a drag queen? A man who likes to eat, drink, and be Mary! It may sound funny to some and it’s easy to crack a joke here and there, but until you get to an event such as this past weekend’s Miss’d America Pageant, you cannot imagine the talent, sincerity, and camaraderie that fills the room.
