The Chelsea hotel is reviving the once-thriving “supper club” social scene, with reasonably priced fine dining and live music every Friday night at Chelsea Prime.

Since its arrival in A.C., the Chelsea hotel has encouraged “socializing in an array of gathering spots to match any mood” as part of its general motif. The hotel’s latest foray into that arena is a Friday-night package entitled “Supper Club with Dinner, Duos and Dancing.”
The concept was launched last Friday night, Oct. 22, with substantial success. Chelsea Prime, the 20-story hotel’s fifth-floor steakhouse, has intrinsically evoked a sort of Boardwalk Empire-esque supper club feel from the start, adorned with classic black-and-white photographs of early Atlantic City (a project overseen by Atlantic City historian Vicki Gold Levi) and elevated dining booths, reminiscent of a time gone by.
The supper-club concept is a nice Friday-night fit, and helping it along are delicious delicacies prepared by Chelsea head chef Anthony Micari, and exceptionally talented music ensembles like the Melanie Rice Trio (which performed an 8:30-10pm set during opening night), and Paul Jost Trio (with Jost on drums, Lisa Tee on piano and Tim Lekan on upright bass), which will perform this Friday, Oct. 29, from 8:30-10pm.
The “Dinner, Duos and Dancing” package is $55 per person and includes an appetizer, entrée, dessert and wine pairing. Other recently started specials at Chelsea include Thirsty Thursdays (with half off every bottle of wine), a Thursday-Friday (5-7pm) and Saturday (4-7pm) Happy hour with complimentary bar snacks, $3 appetizers and $6 specialty cocktails, house wines and champagnes.
Chelsea’s “Private Terrace and Cigar Bar” — one of A.C.’s few “cigar friendly” venues — was unveiled last Saturday, Oct. 23. This Saturday, Oct. 30, there will be a Halloween countdown party starting at 10pm with special packages available. General admission is $30.

In keeping with Atlantic City’s multi-cultural heritage, the Chelsea hotel is blending a variety of international influences into an extensive entertainment slate throughout the summer.
ATLANTIC CITY — Labor Day weekend may be over, but Atlantic City still has a lot going on. Two Atlantic City hot spots that should be on your radar are The Chelsea Hotel and Morton’s the Steakhouse, located inside Caesars. Aside from the fact that both places are wonderful to experience and have great reputations, they also have something that not too many places offer: healthy cocktails! That’s right, in a city known for some not-so-healthy habits, both of these venues not only bring you the highest quality foods, but are also making an effort to allow you to indulge in a drink and let loose at their establishments all while staying slim. Morton’s has introduced Spa-Tinis onto their drink menu, and they are all less than 200 calories. Their best seller is the “Skynny Blood Orange Cosmo,” which consists of the following main ingredients: Tykhu Soju, Skyy Blood Orange Vodka, sugar-free Triple Sec and fresh lime juice. Another one of their healthy-cocktail selections, a drink which received national exposure when it was featured on The Today Show...
“The idea was just to allow more people to experience the special room we have here and the special dining experience, and we know that this will also boost membership to the club as the buzz grows."
The Chelsea hotel is really carving out a niche for itself as the place to be for superb, midweek entertainment. Not only is its popular Jazz Corner series again going full blast through March every Wednesday ...
"We’ll actually specialize the night occasionally. We’ll tailor it to a Bulgarian Night or a Ukrainian Night or whatever.”
Between new summer menus, a new Cabana Club and cafe, new ideas for the hip C5 and the Thursday night karaoke series at Teplitzky’s, the Chelsea in Atlantic City has a lot planned for the summer season. Last week we caught up with chef Anthony Micari, who gave us a taste of the summer offerings. Check [...]

As if refusing to submit to the idea that summer’s over, the Chelsea Hotel, located at 111 S. Chelsea Ave. in Atlantic City (less than a block in from the Boardwalk), is going full-speed ahead into fall with its entertainment slate, drink and dining specials.
With Atlantic City’s Thunder over the Boardwalk air spectacular set for Wednesday, Aug. 25, the Chelsea hotel has excellent room deals tied in with a premium party for hotel guests, and two poolside parties on tap that non-hotel guests are welcome to enjoy too.
The Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival got off to a fabulous start Thursday night (July 29) at the official kick-off party at the Chelsea Hotel.
