Juliano is not sure if the owner who contacted him 10 years ago is the same person who owns the home today.

He has appeared on various shows on the History Channel, the Travel Channel, and National Geographic Channel, and is the co-host of the Paranormal Straight Talk radio show on the ParaX Radio Network.

With Halloween coming up, it’s time to compile a list of my favorite scary movies. I’m an old school fan who prefers suspense to shock, and the bravery of ordinary people in supernatural situations. And, as you’ll notice from the list, I can’t hide the fact that I love a good haunted house tale.
With Halloween coming up, it felt like the perfect time to compile a list of my favorite scary movies. I’m an old school fan who prefers suspense to shock, and the bravery of ordinary people in supernatural situations. And, as you’ll notice from the list, I’m a sucker for a good haunted house tale.
They go bump in the night, walk Victorian hallways, run up and down stairs and generally, leave us with a creepy, disquieting feeling that we're not alone. And we love them for it. They are the ghos...
AFTER WATCHING MY NIECE impatiently waiting for the scary scenes in my favorite scary movie, The Haunting, I decided to expand my appreciation of scary movies to include a few more modern selections. What scares you as a child and teenager tends to be the movies you remember as nightmare inducing, hence my continued affection for The Haunting and The Innocents. My sister-in-law Jan is a dedicated horror aficionado so I've included a couple of her favorites as well. Of course if you really want to terrify me, threaten to tie me to a chair, prop my eyelids open and make me watch Battlefield Earth again. Now that's scary! Here then is a list of flicks perfect for a horrifying good time this Halloween weekend, guaranteed to make your heart jump out of your chest. In alphabetical order they are: Candyman: My sister-in-law is a big Clive Barker fan, so this excellent urban legend saga makes the list. When a graduate student in Chicago (Virginia Madsen) investigates the legend of a slave spirit with a hook hand, she unleashes Candyman (the amazing Tony Todd). A nice mix of solid storytelling and gruesome gore. P.S.: Pinhead gets his props elsewhere. The Changeling: George C....
CHARLES A. STANSFIELD, Jr. has never had a close encounter of the supernatural kind, but as he puts it, "I've never seen a ghost ... yet!" Stansfield, a geography professor at Rowan University for more than 35 years, has co-authored, with longtime friend Patricia A. Martinelli, Haunted New Jersey: Ghosts and Strange Phenomena. Stansfield usually writes travel guides, the most recent being Vacationing on the Jersey Shore: Guide to the Beach Resorts, Past & Present. To hear Stansfield tell it, going from vacation guides to a chronicle of ghost tales is not that big of a leap. "There were two reasons that made me want to do this book," he says. "While doing research on [Vacationing on the Jersey Shore], I came across some interesting ghost stories, from Sandy Hook to Cape May. I incorporated some of the stories as sidebars." The second influence on his ghost search came from friends Bill and Jill Top of Hove, England, acknowledged in the book, who were chased from a cottage by a ghost. So, when his friends confided in Stansfield, waiting 15 years before they felt comfortable enough to reveal their ghostly encounter, Stansfield realized how many other people had stories to...
