After years in the business, comedian Adam Carolla has no complaints.
His work co-hosting the nationally syndicated radio show Loveline was also hard work.
“I like radio because it’s not scripted,” Carolla says. Loveline was an interesting experience. What I liked about it most was that there was no BS with it. It was pretty straightforward and there is so much BS in the world of entertainment in Hollywood. It was great to be able to say whatever I wanted to say. There was no pretention. I hope I made a difference. I cared while I was on the air, but when I left the studio, I thought about other things. That’s just the way it was.
“I’m glad I’m past Loveline. It’s been nice the way my career has progressed. I’ve come a long way from construction and from Loveline. I make a nice living doing what I love. I get to go onstage and make people laugh. I don’t think I could ask for anything more than this. It’s been phenomenal.”
Carolla applauds his old pal Kimmel and his extraordinary success.
“It’s great for him,” Carolla says. “Jimmy is a very talented person. He’s doing his thing and I’m doing mine. I don’t think anyone has any complaints.”
