When Doreen Prinzo first began envisioning a local restaurant week event, way back in August 2007, she never imagined it would grow to include more than 70 participants in its initial year.
Prinzo, marketing partnership manager for the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority (ACCVA), first pitched her concept to Maureen Siman, the ACCVA's V.P. of marketing.
'We were on vacation, my husband and I, and Michael said we won the James Beard award! I screamed and everyone around the pool wondered what happened. Then I told everyone and I did a little dance.'
