Atlantic City Country Club

1 Leo Frasier Dr., Northfield. 641-7575. One of America's oldest and most prestigious golf clubs. Open daily, 8am-3pm. Rates range between $180-$206 based on availability and day of week.

Avalon Golf Club

1510 Rt. 9 N., Cape May Court House. 465-4653. 18 holes, well-kept with good variety of holes. Greens fees to Sept. 3: Daily $79 ($64 noon-3pm, $49 after 3pm).

B.L. England Recreation Center & Golf Course

900 N. Shore Rd., Beesleys Point. 390-0472. Water hazards come into play at least four times. Easy to walk. Well-maintained course with fast, small greens. Greens fees through Labor Day: weekdays, $16 (nine holes), $20 (18 holes); weekends, $20 (9 holes), $26 (18 holes).

Blue Heron Pines Golf Course

(East & West courses, both 4-star 18 holes) 550 W. Country Club Dr., Cologne, off Tilton Rd. 965-1800. Greens fees through Nov. 4: $109/$89 (Twilight) for West Course. East Course currently closed.

Links at Brigantine Beach

1075 North Shore Dr., Brigantine Beach. 266-1388. Authentic Scottish Links course, free GPS on all carts. Greens fees through Sept. 9: Mon.-Fri., $69 before 1pm, $49 after 1pm, $35 after 4pm; weekends, $84 before 1pm, $64 after 1pm, $35 after 4pm.

Buena Vista Country Club

Rt. 40 & Country Club Lane, Buena. 856-697-3733. Long 18-hole course but easy walking. Well maintained. Greens fees: Mon.-Thurs. $32 open-1pm, $22 1-3pm, $15 3pm-close; Fri. $37, $27, $17; Sat., Sun. and holidays $42, $32, $22. Ride & play specials offered.

Frog Rock Golf & Country Club

755 S. White Horse Pike, Hammonton, 561 5504. Family owned & operated. 18 holes. No tee times req. Greens fees (including cart): $20 weekdays, $30 weekends & holidays.

Green Tree Golf Course

1030 Somers Point-Mays Landing Rd. (Rt. 559), EHT. 625-9131. Challenging, county-owned course. Greens fees through Oct. 31: Weekdays 18 holes, $21, $20 midday, $18 twilight; weekends/holidays 18 holes, $26, $23 midday, $20 twilight. Cart fee $13 per rider. Resident ID w/special prices offered.
