620 Harbor Ave., (at Ocean Heights Ave.), Mays Landing. 641-6824. The Shore's only regulation-length, 9-hole course. No tee times required. Greens fees (for 9 holes) through Sept. 5: Mon.-Fri. $15; Sat., Sun. & holidays $18. www.hamiltontrails.com.

Heritage Links Golf Club

1375 Rt. 9, Palermo. 390-4500. Greens fees to Sept. 4: walking rate: $25; riding cart $7.50, pull cart $3 for 9 holes.

Mays Landing Golf & Country Club

1855 Cates Rd., Mays Landing. 641-4411. Great value for this 18-hole course. Greens fees through Oct.: Prime time w/cart, weekdays 8am-1pm, $45-57; weekends, $60-74 (to Dec.). Midday w/cart, weekdays after 1pm, $40-45; weekends, $30-$45 (to Dec.). Twilight specials. www.mayslandinggolf.com.

McCullough's Emerald Golf Links

3016 Ocean Heights Ave., EHT. 926-3900. 18 holes; The only area course to offer 100-ft. elevation changes. Public rates to Sept. 3: weekdays, $70; after 2pm, $50; after 5pm, $25. Ocean City Golf Course

26th & Bay Ave., Ocean City. 399-1315. Par 37, 12 hole course built on flat terrain with an occasional hill. Trees line the fairways, with shelters along the course for golfers to rest. Junior discount rate on weekdays. Built in 1957 and designed by Willie Dunn, Jr. Open all year. Greens fees $10 daily, $8 for seniors and under 18 Mon.-Fri.

The Pines at Clermont

358 Kings Hwy., Clermont (Dennis Twp.). 624-0100. Surprisingly pretty and varied layout for a nine-hole course. Greens fees: $15 daily for 9 holes w/cart.

Pomona Golf & Country Club

400 W. Moss Mill Rd., Pomona. 965-3232. Nine-hole course with mostly flat fairways and smallish greens. Year-round greens fees are weekdays & twilight $16, weekends & holidays $18. Handcarts are $2.

Sand Barrens Golf Club

1765 Rt. 9N., Swainton. 465-3555. This 27-hole course has been rated 4-star. Heavy bunkering as the name implies. Public greens fees To July 8: Thurs.-Tues. before 1pm, $120; after 1pm, $100. July 9-Aug. 30: Mon.-Fri. before noon/after noon, $110/$95; after 2pm, $80. Saturday before 1pm/after 1pm, $120/$100; Sunday before noon/after noon, $120/$100. www.sandbarrensgolf.com.

Seaview Marriott Resort
