Obsessive NFL draft nuts and diehard football fans are the prime audience, and honestly, the only audience, for Draft Day. In particular beleaguered Cleveland Browns fans would do almost anything — even sell their soul to the Devil ala Damn Yankees — to make the fantasy draft in Draft Day come true.

Darker Captain

Of all the Avengers in Marvel’s universe, Captain America is the hero who wants to avoid the cynicism that the other superheroes embrace including Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Thor. For some, this makes him a little perfect and slightly dull. But me, I’m glad he strives to hold onto his “Greatest Generation” World War II honor.

‘Black Pirate’ Soars

Last night was a moment that sent the audience back into time, the time of Boardwalk Empire. Boardwalk Hall, built in 1929 at the urging of then mayor Edward Bader, and with architecture that still reflects its history, hosted a special screening of the 1926 silent film The Black Pirate last evening (April 3) as both the kick-off of the Garden State Film Festival and as a benefit for the for the Historic Organ Restoration Committee (HORC) at Boardwalk Hall.
