What is there to do on a spring Tuesday night in Atlantic City if you want to dance, you ask?
Well, the party at Caesars' nightclub Dusk features DJ Sat-One every Tuesday (and Saturday) night and the resident DJ makes sure you won't "leave without having had the greatest night of your life."
DJ Sat-One is a member of the Skratch Makaniks Crew and on a recent Tuesday fellow member and legendary Philly DJ JaySki shared the tables with him as a guest.
They both had the dance floor rocking and the club was packed — on a late winter weeknight, no less.
The club's Industry Tuesdays and Dusk Saturdays have grown — over the past few years — to become two of the biggest parties in Atlantic City. If you like to party and dance, this is the spot. From techno to house to hip-hop you will be singing and dancing along to the songs pumping from the state-of-the-art sound system.
I got a chance to talk to Sat-One during the party a couple weeks ago. Here are excerpts from our interview.
How does the club scene in Atlantic City differ from other cities you've rocked?
The Atlantic City club scene is a very diverse and interchanging crowd due to that it is a vacation spot. It's great for a DJ because you're always playing for a new bunch of people each week who are just there to have a good time. Not too many places have that.
Are there any other clubs in Atlantic City that you are interested in spinning at?
I really like playing at Dusk. I played at places before in A.C., but nothing to me has compared to it.
What's your favorite thing to do in Atlantic City?
My favorite thing to do in A.C. is shop and eat. They have great restaurants such as Angelo's [Fairmount Tavern] — where I go once a week! The Walk outlet stores are great to shop at, too. I always end up in them the morning after a gig.
Are there any projects that you are working on?
Currently I'm working on production for my DJ crew Skratch Makaniks's first album, which should be out this year. We have a lot of great guest features lined up that I think people are going to be into. You can get more info on what I'm doing, such as production, mix tapes and remixes at my Web site.

Pride abounded during Dusk’s guided tour and ribbon-cutting ceremony inside Caesars during the summer of 2009 — and with good reason. The multi-tiered, 10,000-square-foot nightclub was cutting-edge to the core, more spacious and designed differently than anything Atlantic City had seen to that point, and bolstered by a top-flight lighting-and-sound system and some of the best house and special-guest DJs in the business.
Throughout the expo, that vibe will be even stronger as parties and special events are scheduled with DJs such as DJ Skribble, DJ Shiftee and DJ Jazzy Jeff making appearances.
Area DJs get your turntables ready, you definitely want to have your “A” game ready this upcoming week. Monday (Aug. 13) the International DJ Expo is back for another three days of showcasing and celebrating the art at its finest. The expo returns to the Trump Taj Mahal for the second consecutive year after its “Back to the Boardwalk” campaign last summer brought huge numbers of attendees and top-flight exhibitors. “It was terrific, mainly because our attendees and exhibitors were so happy to have access to the Boardwalk once again,” said DJ Times magazine editor and co-organizer of the DJ Expo, Jim Tremayne. DJs, industry reps, producers, and fans alike have flocked to the area annually for the event since 1990, and thousands are expected...

CRACK PIPES AND VALENTINES. His recent near-death plane wreck, which left him burned — but alive. Those are some of the tragic memories that will be attached to the late Adam Goldstein, the 36-year-old Philly native whose nom de scratch DJ AM became synonymous with first-rate dance shows from Hollywood to Atlantic City. But there are good memories, too. Lots of them. Like Goldstein throwing out the first pitch at Citi Field on Sunday, Aug. 23. And spinning on the following Tuesday at Dusk, the Atlantic City nightclub at Caesars that...
