Hip nightclub Providence in the Quarter at Tropicana recently started a mid-week, summer-long EDM series called Pink House.
The 11,000 square-foot Providence in Atlantic City was the sixth property established by Pereira as part of Metronome Hospitality, sharing its name with a larger (14,000 square-foot) nightclub in New York City that was once the site of the Manhattan Baptist Church (literally translated Providence means “divine guidance”).
The A.C. Providence has a state-of-the-art audio-visual sound system, three full bars, several VIP booths for bottle service and a mezzanine level that overlooks the dance floor.
“Again, Bobby wanted to create a different type of ambience for the guests, which mid-week is more of a local crowd than you’d usually see on a Friday or Saturday,” says Simms. “The nights are a little more intimate and the guests can almost reach out and touch the DJs. They love it and the DJs love it too, because it makes for a more electrifying and high-energy atmosphere.”
“I’m excited to bring a taste of the electronic dance music experience to Atlantic City each and every week for the entire summer,” says Periera. “This schedule of DJs and performers is designed to bring an unparalleled party experience mid-week, and an exciting new option in Atlantic City nightlife.”

"It’s a great time for us, and a great time for me. I’ve never really saw myself as just a DJ, I saw myself as a performer and being technically involved. I’m in my element right now.”
“What we’re seeing right now [in A.C.] is Revel and Borgata going head-to-head with these big-name house DJs. They have become celebrities who get anywhere from $20,000 upwards of $200,000 per night for a couple of hours, and most of the time they’ll sell out these arenas or nightclubs. ... They’re the new celebrities.”
Headlining the countdown to midnight is famed electro house artist and DJ, Steve Aoki, who will be joined by Tommy Trash, Adventure Club, and David Solano.
