Gov. Chris Christie wanted more family-entertainment in place in Atlantic City by next summer.

Well, by winter, it is expected that a new nationally known venue will open at the Trump Taj Mahal.

And it's for the family for sure, the famly members  just need to be an adult to enter. Any family member who is old enough to drink will be able to get into the Scores nightclub, if, in fact, it does open in Atlantic City this year.

Scores is a national chain/franchise of high-end strip clubs, most famously located in New York City, Chicago and Las Vegas. (Read a Huffington Post blog about Scores and politics here.)

According to an article posted on MyFoxPhilly.com, the gentleman’s club would be the first to be located inside an Atlantic City casino:

“Trump Taj Mahal wants to be the first casino in Atlantic City to have a strip club inside its casino," reports the Web site.

“The New Jersey Casino Control Commission just got the application to put what once source close to the Brigantine businessman putting the deal together called 'a top-end gentlemen’s club.'

A spokesperson for the Trump Taj Mahal tells Atlantic City Weekly that the casino is in negotiations with Scores to bring the club to Atlantic City.

The spokesperson didn’t want to comment any further on this matter as the deal is still being worked out.

However, Philly’s Fox-29 reports that ““Renovation work is already under way inside the casino where the Stage Deli used to be,  right above the Hard Rock Cafe.

“The club will be called Scores  Atlantic City, and they’re spending millions of dollars to get it ready  in time for the winter, when the convention business usually peaks.”

The New York Scores location’s Web site says the club offers “Strip Classes.” There is no indication that the Atlantic City location would include such classes, but after the recent news that the Taj Mahal will become home to a second location of Atlantic City's legendary White House Sub Shop, it might be a class worth thinking about after shoveling down delicous sandwiches at the Taj's White House location, which is due to open Spring 2011.

What do you think about Scores coming to Atlantic City?

As long as the dancers don't get naked or touch the patrons in a provocative way, such a club would be permissible, according to the report.
