Nightlife Spotlight: Kickin’ Karaoke
Where: Teplitzky’s open-air, poolside back room at the Chelsea Hotel, 111 S. Chelsea Ave., Atlantic City
When: Every Thursday, 830pm-closing; Fri.-Sat. 9:30pm-closing. Thursdays will be Karaoke Night “Out,” designed for the GLBT community.

Details: Starting this Thursday, May 27, and lasting all summer, the back room of Teplitzky’s will morph into a rock ‘n’ roll karaoke club where guests can be a star for a night, or just kick back and enjoy the stars in the night sky. A DJ will be spinning a mix of modern and classic rock, and several flat-screen TVs will display lyrics for American Idol wannabes who can select from over 2,000 songs.
Tiki-style cocktails, happy-hour drink specials and passed signature Teplitzky’s appetizers will be available. Thursdays will be Karaoke Night “Out” — a new weekly event for the GLBT community. This Thursday’s kick-off party will feature celebrity judges who will crown the King (or Queen) of Karaoke in which prizes will be awarded to those who belt out the best tunes.
