As if refusing to submit to the idea that summer’s over, the Chelsea Hotel, located at 111 S. Chelsea Ave. in Atlantic City (less than a block in from the Boardwalk), is going full-speed ahead into fall with its entertainment slate, drink and dining specials.

Throughout October, the Chelsea’s nightclub destination C5 offers parties and drink specials every weekend. The club opens Friday and Saturday at 10pm, but really starts to heat up between 2-4am when guests can enjoy drink specials, complimentary appetizers, comfortable lounge seating and the hottest dance music by resident and guest DJs. Fall drink specials at C5 will include $7 Absolut & Red Bulls, $5 Absolut cocktails, $5 Hornitos Tequila shots and cocktails, and $5 Cruzan Rum cocktails. There will be specially priced VIP bottle-service bottles every Saturday night.

Starting Friday, Oct. 22, Chelsea Prime, the hotel’s “supper club” inspired restaurant, unveils live entertainment with the Melanie Rice Trio on the 22nd. Dubbed “Dinner, Duos and Dancing,” Fridays will offer guests great entertainment from 8:30-10pm along with a special tasting menu and wine pairings. On Friday, Oct. 29, the Paul Jost Trio headlines at Chelsea Prime.

Starting Saturday, Oct. 23, Chelsea’s Private Terrace and Cigar Bar opens to the public. Cigar smokers will be permitted to light up on the 5th Floor’s outdoor terrace, which offers beautiful views and a fun, “speakeasy” vibe reminiscent of Nucky Johnson, the well-loved leader from the Roaring ’20s and figurehead around which HBO’s Boardwalk Empire was created. It will be one of Atlantic City’s only “cigar friendly” venues.

Special October events at Chelsea’s C5 will include:

Saturday, Oct. 9 — Columbus Day “Prosecco”
Specially priced cocktails along with $4 domestic beers, $5 imports, and $6 Toso Prosecco by the glass. Also, in honor of Columbus, the “Discover Bottle Service at the Chelsea”  promotion will feature all vodka bottles for just $149.20, which is an over 20 percent saving on most labels.

Friday and Saturday, Oct. 15-16 — Atlantic City Marathon Weekend Party
Even if you’re not running a marathon, keep going all weekend long with Absolut & Red Bull drinks specially priced at $5 all weekend.

Saturday, Oct. 23
— Prohibition Bust Party
The party will include a complimentary G&T shooter from 10pm-midnight (limit one per customer, specially priced bottles at $140 each (for all bottles of gin and vodka), complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and the “Grand Opening of the N.J’s Private Terrace and Cigar Bar.”

Saturday, Oct. 30 — Halloween Countdown
Doors open at 10pm with a live DJ, available VIP tables and special packages. General admission will be $30.
