Details: Bubba Mac at the A.C. Country Club is sure to be fun for the whole family, with live blues music and a BBQ on the patio. Every week there are raffles for golf and brunch at the country club, while free line and Jitterbug dance lessons are also available. On June 18 there will be the first of four "Blues for Good" events, where money is raised for the United Way. Admission to the "Blues for Good" is $20 for adults and $10 for children. The event will take place rain or shine and includes original Bubba Mac recipes for BBQ favorites like pulled pork.
Entertainment: The Bubba Mac Blues Band will be performing each week with some special guests and local celebrities. The band has released four independent albums since forming in 1999, and frequently performed at the Bubba Mac Shack restaurant in Somers Point before Bubba and his son, Mac, opened a second café on the Ocean City Boardwalk (which is no longer open). They play 80 percent original songs, including "Get it Up One More Time" and "Flip Flops," but also include popular blues covers.
Bubba Says: "We are really trying to make this a big family event -- like a big family gathering."
