On Saturday night, May 18, Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall will play host to two of the very best fighters the division has to offer when talented IBF Jr. welterweight champion Lamont Peterson (31-1-1/16KOs), of Washington D.C., takes on the WBC interim super lightweight champion Lucas Matthysse (33-2/31KOs), of Argentina, in a scheduled 12-round bout of what is sure to be an action-packed war.

You would never know that Stacy Lewis was the defending champion of the ShopRite LPGA Classic and the current LPGA Player of the Year seeing her quietly enter the media luncheon for the ShopRite Classic Monday afternoon (May 6) and look for a place to sit down. Some athletes have that natural “I’m a star” vibe when they enter a room but Lewis is understated, except when she is competing on the LPGA tour.

On Saturday and Sunday, April 6-7, nearly six months after Hurricane Sandy devastated the beaches of New Jersey and beyond, the Atlantic City Marathon Race Series will welcome over 3,000 runners back to the Atlantic City Boardwalk to participate in the 2013 Revel April Fools Half Marathon and Shore Medical Center 11K & 7K races.
