Mara Justine, a 16-year-old from Galloway Township, has made it through the preliminary auditions on “American Idol.” In other words, she’s "going to Hollywood."
"I'm feeling very good," the Absegami High School sophomore said to The Press of Atlantic City. "I'm just so blessed and so happy right now."
Justine, a former finalist on "America's Got Talent," received a standing ovation from judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie after singing “Love on the Brain” for her audition. She appeared in Monday night’s episode of “American Idol.”
"I don't think we need to critique. I think we just need to vote ... This is a top 10,” said Perry of Justine.
Justine celebrated with a viewing party of Monday’s episode at her home.
