The Miller family is shown on the Boardwalk outside of Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City just before last year’s Make the Best of It bash, which was founded by the family and their late daughter, Tara, to raise money for melanoma research.

The Tara Miller Foundation and Atlantic City are teaming up Friday, June 30, for some pink-themed events to both fight cancer and promote the city’s upcoming P!nk concert in July.

Festivities begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon to celebrate the upcoming July 12 concert, part of the city’s annual beach concert series. Local dignitaries, artists, the Atlantic City Aquarium’s mascot Seaweed, casino employees and city residents will be in attendance to help stretch the huge pink ribbon along the entire Atlantic City boardwalk, to be cut by Mayor Don Guardian. Representatives from the Tara Miller Foundation will also be in attendance with their pink bus. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place in front of Bally’s, located at 1900 Boardwalk.
