Atlantic City has been host to an incredibly popular band this last week, though not many people knew about it. The Kings of Leon — the multi-platinum selling rock band responsible for hit songs like “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody” — have been using Boardwalk Hall as their rehearsal space in preparation for their world tour, launching Thursday, Jan. 12.

“Working at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City has been an absolute pleasure,” Kings of Leon Tour Manager Ivan Kushlick says. “We certainly appreciated working in such a well-run facility and with such great people who really get it when it comes to staging challenging productions of this nature.”

So, if you thought you saw one of the Followill brothers out and about in A.C. recently, it wasn’t your imagination.

“Having one of the world’s biggest tours rehearse in Boardwalk Hall was a coup for Spectra and our facility,” says Chris Howard, Executive Director of the CRDA. “The band was able to take in the night life and enjoy some of Atlantic City’s great amenities for a few days. We are pleased they had a positive experience and we look forward to hosting other top artists in the future."
