Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa was named Atlantic City’s best overall gaming resort based on votes from readers of Casino Player magazine.

Borgata also claimed the titles of best hotel, rooms, pool, spa, casino, comps, race/sports book and live poker. It took second for best hotel staff, table game tournaments, poker tournaments, blackjack and craps, and third for best video slots.

Resorts Casino Hotel, the number two-rated overall gaming resort, took home awards for best hotel staff, suites, dealers, slot tournaments, video slots and blackjack. Its second place awards were for best casino, players club, comps, promotions and reel slots. Third place awards included best hotel, rooms, table game tournaments, video poker and roulette.

Resorts also was named the “Casino Where You Feel The Luckiest,” followed by Golden Nugget Atlantic City and Borgata.

Golden Nugget took third place as best overall gaming resort, and won top honors for best hosts, video poker and roulette. Its second place awards were for best rooms, suites, slot tournaments and video slots. Third place awards included best spa, promotions, poker tournaments, reel slots, blackjack and craps.

Golden Nugget also was judged as “Favorite Casino Resort To Vacation At,” followed by Resorts and Caesars Atlantic City. Caesars other wins were third place in the categories of best suites, pool, players club and dealers.

Bally’s Atlantic City took first place for best table games and poker tournaments, as well as reel slots and craps. Its second place honors included best spa, race/sports book and live poker, and third place for best hosts.

Harrah’s Resort took second in the categories of best pool and hosts, and third for best hotel staff.

Tropicana Atlantic City was honored for best players club and promotions, took second for best hotel, dealers, video poker and roulette, and won third for best casino, comps, slot tournaments and live poker.

Bayview Tower rooms in Harrah’s Resort will undergo a $30 million renovation beginning in mid-November. Expected completion is May 2017.

Pending New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement approval, the world’s first skill-based video game gambling machines will debut later this year at Bally’s Atlantic City, Caesars Atlantic City and Harrah’s Resort. The premier game, “Danger Arena,” is a first-person action video game in which player skill determines the payout. Caesars will feature 21 gaming positions in high traffic, prominent locations in all three properties, with three triple-unit carousels at Caesars, two at Harrah’s and two at Bally’s Wild Wild West.
