Resorts Hosts Classic Car Show Summer Series
Resorts Casino Hotel with Rollin Rods of South Jersey are hosting the Classic Car Show Summer Series with the first show on Saturday, May 19. The Classic Car Shows will feature vehicles prior to 1987 with awards for various categories including up to model year 1940, model year 1941-49, model year 1950-59, model year 1960-69, model year 1970-79, model year 1980-87, pickups, trucks and rat rods. It costs $15 to enter a classic car into the show with proceeds benefiting the Warfighter & Family Readiness Center, and entrants will receive a Resorts goodie bag with offers and $20 in free slot cash. All entries are based on a first come basis and must be registered and insured.
In addition to viewing the classic cars, guests will be able to enjoy music, an array of Boardwalk food favorites including Big Paulie’s food truck and Gary’s Steaks food truck featuring Italian sausage and peppers, grilled Rib Eye sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, cheeseburgers sliders, fish and chips, fresh cut fries, fresh kettle chips, chicken fingers, nachos and more.
Following the Classic Car Show. a Sock-Hop will be held in Night Fever Dance Club with DJ entertainment, dance contests and more. It is free to get in. Guests will also have a chance to win a 1951 Chevrolet five-window pickup by hitting a jackpot on the classic car carousel while playing with the Resorts Star Card. All guests of the car show will have a chance at one free handle pull and a shot at $500 in slot cash. Two winners will be chosen at 8pm in the casino. Visit the promotions booth for details. The Classic Car Show will be held on the Boardwalk in front of Resorts and in the Boardwalk Parking lot starting at 8am and ending with the awards distribution at 5pm. It is free to view the cars. Rain dates will take place on the following Sunday (May 20).

The Irish Pub is at the base of an old (circa 1905) Victorian-style hotel building, and has been run by Dick and Cathy Burke since 1972. Entering during daylight hours may require an adjustment to the change in light, or lack thereof, but once done you’ll see that this is no cookie-cutter pub replica.
