When Guy Fieri hits town for the Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival, he’s bringing his Triple D team with him
Guy Fieri will be filming Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in the A.C. area next month.
Triple D fans in South Jersey, get ready to have your world rocked. Guy Fieri, who will be in town July 29-Aug. 1 as a participant in the Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival, told me today (July 9) that when he is in town, he’ll be bringing his Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives film crew with him.
“Just so everybody knows, and I’m going to get in trouble for [telling you] this,” said Fieri, “This year, as soon as I get done doing the Food & Wine Fest, the entire Triple D film crew will be in A.C. We will be shooting in A.C. and around A.C. for four days doing Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives that following week. We are bringing Triple D to A.C.”
Fieri also expressed his passion for the Atlantic City region. "It has a small town charm but with big city opportunity. You get huge headliners that come to A.C., you have good food, you have good people, you've got the beach . . . Come on, you can walk right outside of a casino and go to a beach. When I tell my buddies it's A.C. time you should see them going into this lottery over who gets to go to the A.C. event. When I hit A.C. there will probably be 10 to 20 people in my group flying in from all around the country."
Fieri also said he would love to have a restaurant in town [area casino executives are you listening?] and that he and his wife Lori are regulars at the White House Sub Shop when they visit.

Where do you think DDD should stop in the Atlantic City area?
Do you hear that rumbling rolling in from out in the distance? No, it’s not the accompanying thunder from a series of midsummer thunderstorms. What you’re noticing, should you listen carefully, is the sound of the biggest food weekend on the calendar around these parts.
After putting together a great event for gourmet food fans last summer, Harrah’s Entertainment is once again hosting the Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival featuring numerous celebrity chefs.
Everyone from experienced home cooks to novices can learn helpful tips and techniques from the skilled and patient pro chefs at Harrah's Resort's Viking Cooking School in Atlantic City.
While you don’t have to be addicted to the Food Network, love to cook and be a fan of Julia Child to enjoy Julie & Julia, Nora Ephron’s delicious tribute to Child and her foodie blogger fan Julie Powell, it certainly helps. Since I qualify in all three categories, this charming, low-key parallel story of two women who never met, yet find common ground in kitchens continents and decades apart, delighted my critical taste buds. Writer-director Ephron takes us to post-war Paris where we meet Julia and Paul Child (Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci). He works for the United States Foreign Service; Julia,...
Atlantic City will be the center of the culinary world when the Food Network Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival, hosted by Harrah’s Entertainment, begins with the official kick-off party at the Chelsea Hotel Thursday, July 29. Not only is this an amazing event for people who love to eat great food and mingle with culinary superstars, it also raises money for the charity Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central & South Jersey.

“A BIG Secret..... There is a urinal surrounding the bar at Angelos in Atlantic City, It dates pretty far back...people refused to take the chance of losing their seat to use the restrooms. Today it is used for ice melt ;) The food is so good, it doesn't phase anyone a bit! Try the Lobster Ravioli with a Carafe of their homemade wine. Priced right. <3<3<3<3<3”
