A unique partnership was recently launched between Resorts Atlantic City’s Boogie Nights nightclub and Fro-Me-A-Party party supply headquarters of EHT. The collaboration will coincide with the month-long promotion of Boooo-gie Nights II — the two-night Halloween celebration presented by 95.1 FM WAYV, and scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30-31.
“Though the timing of this partnership is certainly perfect for our Halloween parties, it’s an ideal one for us year-round,” says Kathleen McSweeney, senior vice president of marketing for Resorts. “People dress up for Boogie Nights every weekend in ’70s and ’80s outfits and are just having a lot of fun with it. When we discovered that many of the costumes were purchased at Fro-Me-A-Party, the next logical step was to work with them and maximize the cross-marketing opportunities.”
Located at 3112 Fire Road in EHT, Fro-Me-A-Party has been deemed the “Official Costume Zone” of Boooo-gie Nights II, which will feature a themed masquerade party on Friday, Oct. 30, and Vampire-themed costume party on Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be a variety of contests held each evening, with thousands of dollars in prizes awarded by Resorts and WAYV.
“People have been coming into our store for the past year searching for new accessories to wear for dancing at Boogie Nights, and the merchandise has been flying off the shelves,” says Brittani Froumy, Fro-Me-A-Party manager. “This partnership allows us to expand on an already successful product line. When people think of Boogie Nights, we want them to think of us.”
In addition to the nightclub parties, the Halloween theme will be carried out throughout the casino, highlighted by the costumed staff. Resorts cardholders will also receive a Boogie Nights T-Shirt when earning one point through casino play, or a long-sleeved Boogie Nights T-shirt when earning two points through casino play. Fro-Me-A-Party will also be selling a variety of merchandise with the Boogie Nights’ logo on it, including glassware, shorts, shirts and more in the Boogie Nights’ section of the store.
Fro-Me-A-Party will also stock the 2010 Boogie Nights calendar, which will be available in time for Halloween parties. This retro-chic calendar will feature all of the favorite Boogie Nights characters as well as fun facts and important dates and events from the late 1970s to early 1980s. It will also include six free entry passes to Boogie Nights — a $60 value for Fridays, and $75 value for Saturdays — and can be purchased for just $19.79.

“I think when this club is done, people are going to walk in and there’s going to be a wow factor,” Rodio says. “The club is going to be on a much higher level than it was down at Resorts.”
