The tradition continues at Historic Boardwalk Hall in February with the 2012 “Show of Shows”, featuring the Philadelphia Mummers’ String Band Association. The event will take place Saturday, Feb. 25 with a single performance at 2pm. Reserved seats are $25 and $21, with a limited number of VIP seats available for $35. General admission seats are available for $18.
The 16 String Bands that will be performing their New Year’s Day presentation and more include Aqua, Avalon, Broomall, Duffy, Durning, Ferko, Fralinger, Greater Kensington, Greater Overbrook, Hegeman, Polish American, Quaker City, South Philadelphia, Trilby, Uptown and Woodland.
