Carlos Santana and his band Santana bring its jazz/rock/Latin fusion sound to Borgata’s Event Center for two shows on Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21 at 8pm both nights. Tickets are $76, $96 and $130.50.
The variety and number of musicians accompanying Grammy award winner Carlos Santana has been evolving since 1966 and put Latin rock on the map for the world to experience. Santana has released 29 albums over the past forty years including their first release Santana, which was ranked number 150 in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of top 500 greatest albums of all time. Following that was the multi-platinum record Abraxas featuring the hit singles “Black Magic Woman,” “Oye Como Va” and “Hope You’re Feeling Better.”
In 2012 the guitarist released Shape Shifter, the debut recording for his own Starfaith label. Santana wrote or co-wrote all but two of its 13 tracks, which are instrumentals.
