Extraordinary women winemakers will be featured in "A Toast to Women in Wine" at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on Saturday, Nov. 11. The charity tasting event, celebrity chef cook-off and wine education forum is sponsored by Wine Spectator magazine and the Borgata. Celebrity guests include actress and winemaker Lorraine Bracco (The Sopranos, GoodFellas) of Bracco Wines, and Olympic gold medalist Peggy Fleming of Fleming Jenkins Vineyards & Wineries.

"Borgata could not be more proud of the women honored at 'Women in Wine,'" says Victor Tiffany, vice president of food and beverage at the Borgata. "We truly feel that these female winemakers are stars within their industry, and that their contributions are shaping the future of American wine."

Nearly 25 female winemakers and vintners from California, Virginia, Italy, Australia, Chile and France will participate. Iron Chefs Masaharu Morimoto and Bobby Flay (also a Borgate chef) will partake in a cook-off. Many of Borgata's chefs, including Flay, Michael Mina, Wolfgang Puck, Susanna Foo and Luke Paladino will prepare signature dishes and mingle with guests.

"Exceptional wines and unparalleled cuisine have become synonymous with Borgata since our opening," adds Tiffany. "The featured chefs and vintners at this event are at the forefront of creating a better dining experience in Atlantic City and across the United States.

A Toast to Women in Wine at the Borgata on Saturday, Nov. 11. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $195 per person. Premium Plus admission costs $295 (doors open at 6pm) and includes exclusive food and wine tasting at Ombra from 12:30-2pm.
