GM Charles Armstrong and server Bridget Dougherty show off the jumbo cold water lobster tail, sashimi tuna and colossal king crab legs.

Name: East Bay Crab and Grille

Address: 6701 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Twp. 272-7721.

Menu: The menu features mainly seafood dishes with numerous steak and pasta dishes. East Bay is known for their wide variety of crabs -- Alaskan snow crabs, Pacific Dungeness crabs, and more. Some popular items on the menu are jumbo lump crab cakes, hard shell crabs, and blue shell crabs. "We have all-you-can-eat crabs," said Chuck Armstrong, general manager of the restaurant. "We were the first ones in the area to have it. Other places try to imitate us, but they don't even come close."

History: East Bay Crab and Grille has been open for 13 years. Originally, it was a furniture store, but the owners wanted to experiment with a franchise restaurant that people would enjoy. They are still working to this day to make the restaurant a franchise. Specializing in seafood, especially crabs, East Bay has gained the reputation it had hoped to gain. "It's something different than the ordinary," says Armstrong.

Chef's Tip: "That's hard to pick considering we have a very big menu," says executive chef Ed. "Personally, I love the prime rib and I would definitely recommend the sashimi tuna."

What to Know: Open daily 11:30am-10:30pm. All major credit cards accepted. Take-out is available for all items on the menu. Daily happy hour 4-7pm with half-off cocktails and draft beers. Free hot and cold buffet Mon.-Fri. during happy hour. $3-$6 bar menu. Daily specials feature a half dozen appetizers, four types of soups, and 12 entrees from which to choose.
