Last year’s Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival was good enough to earn a reputation as one of the top such events on the east coast. The dates and some of the scheduled events have been announced for this year’s AC Food & Wine Fest, and Food Network superstar Guy Fieri will again play a major role in the festivities. Fieri will again host the popular Guy Fieri Cheesesteak Battle (Friday, July 29, 9pm, Dennis Court Yard at Bally’s for $75) and Guy’s Big Bite Brunch (Saturday, July 30, 11am-1pm at Caesars for $85).
In other events the Neelys will again host the special Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues/Showboat (Sunday, July 31, 11am-1pm, $60) and will be in charge of the finger lickin’ good Blues, Brews and BBQ (Saturday, July 30, 1-3pm Music Hall at HOB, $65), with music by John Popper.
New this year is the Restaurant Invasion with Robert Irvine of Dinner Impossible fame. He will visit Caesars to put his own twist on the foods specific to the garden state (Friday, July 29, 6-9pm, $85).
On the wine side of the event, Wine Down 101: Fast Track to Wine Expertise Seminar will feature Michael Green teaching attendees how to taste and speak intelligently about wine by sampling the classics (Saturday, July 30, noon-1pm, Mia at Caesars, $50).
If you’re more of a beer aficionado, mark your calendar for Super Suds: Tastes and Trends in Artisan Beer (Sunday, July 31, 1-2pm, Mia at Caesars, $50) as Gary Moterosso reveals the latest trends in artisan beer. With some of the finest pilsners, porters, stouts, ales and lagers from across the world, “Super Suds” is sure to delight beer drinkers.

“AC Food & Wine Fiasco, over & out! Herded thru the aisles like cattle, 'sample & taste' how about 'grab & go,? Plenty of wine & spirits represented but hopefully you brought along a bag lunch. Very very few food booths and that was evident after watching no less than three people barf & two people fall over chairs. It's no wonder there's less vendors, 500 bucks a booth, 135 to get your boxes upstairs ( thank you local union ) & 100 bucks extra for your booth to be vacuumed, an extra few bucks for a second table & parking & you've already counted out the 'mom and pops'. Listen I realize it provides a boost for the city & work for everyone, so please don't let it be destroyed by greed, there's plenty to go around!”
