The most popular chef in the world will expand his culinary empire with a second restaurant in Atlantic City. Gordon Ramsay Steak will open at Harrah’s Resort this Memorial Day weekend after years of negotiations and rumors.

Ramsay, whose Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Atlantic City opened in 2015 to tremendous success, will take over the current Harrah’s steakhouse — the blandly titled The Steakhouse — to open his second Gordon Ramsay Steak. His first, which is considered one of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas, remains a difficult reservation six years after it opened at Paris on the Las Vegas Strip.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to introduce Gordon Ramsay Steak to Atlantic City,” Ramsay says. “Since first opening Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars, the city has quickly become a true dining destination. I can’t wait for Gordon Ramsay Steak to make its mark on the culinary landscape with a concept that will offer guests the best dry-aged beef, finest seafood and freshest locally-sourced ingredients in a uniquely warm and comfortable setting.”

The multi-Michelin-star chef — the only Michelin chef in Atlantic City — continues to conquer the world with his hit television shows that have helped him spawn more than 30 restaurants globally. On Thursday, the star of “Kitchen Nightmares” and “MasterChef Junior” openedHell’s Kitchen restaurant inside Caesars Las Vegas, cashing in on the popularity of his longtime reality series of the same name.

Gordon Ramsay Steak will give Harrah’s — and Atlantic City — another major dining brand to lure visitors from major markets, including Philadelphia, New York and Washington, D.C.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with one of the world’s pre-eminent chefs, Gordon Ramsay, on a world-class dining concept here in Atlantic City,” says Kevin Ortzman, regional president for Caesars Entertainment. “The debut of Gordon Ramsay Steak at Harrah’s Resort this summer, added to our already stellar lineup of restaurants including Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Caesars, will continue to raise the bar and further evolve the dining landscape in the city, marking our second concept by the multi-Michelin star chef.”

It is assumed the restaurant will undergo a major renovation since the current steakhouse at Harrah’s is a bit dated. The modern steakhouse will showcase prime beef dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days and cuts such as the 32-ounce Royal Long-bone Chop for two, as well as American Kobe. With a nod to his British roots, Ramsay has expanded on the traditional land and sea offerings and developed a menu that is both distinctive and creative. Ramsay’s Beef Wellington and sticky toffee pudding dishes, which have been popular items at Gordon Ramsay Steak in Las Vegas and Baltimore, as well as the pub at Caesars Atlantic City, will be signature items on Ramsay’s Harrah’s menu. Ramsay has been in discussions to open a steakhouse at Harrah’s for more than five years, even before the pub was built at Caesars.

Gordon Ramsay Steak will also feature hundreds of labels in its extensive wine collection and barrel-aged cocktail classics with a twist. It joins Harrah’s great lineup of restaurants, that includes Martorano’s, Veracruz and restaurants by another celebrity chef, Guy Fieri, whose Sammich Shop is located in its food court.
