1. It has a new happy hour. Golden Nugget’s Grotto doesn’t immediately scream a night out, since it’s known for its Italian standards in an old country trattoria setting. However, for the summer Grotto has introduced a new happy hour with an updated menu, making it a great first stop on your night out at Nugget. Happy hour runs all day Monday and 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays to Sundays.

2. The cocktails are perfect for summer. Grotto has rolled out a number of specialty cocktails that won’t break the bank for the summer season. Cocktails like Blushing Whiskey Sour, Blueberry-Basil Gimlet, Mango Madness, Honey Sour and Pink Silk Sheets will be available for $7. The best deal on the cocktail end of things, however, is the Peach Bellini for just $3.

3. Drafts and wines are also discounted. Not a cocktail person? Grotto’s happy hour has you covered with $4 draft and domestic brews like Yuengling Lager and Blue Moon Belgian White and $5 imported beers like Moretti and Stella Artois. Wine also makes the list — $5 chardonnay, pinot grigio, merlot and more, and $5 sangrias.(tncms-asset)a951b318-4fa6-11e7-8dcb-00163ec2aa77(/tncms-asset)

4. The happy hour includes food. One of the best things about Grotto’s new happy hour is that it extends beyond just drinks to include menu items. Check out its $6 cherry pepper shooters with stuffed prosciutto and provolone, $7 fried artichokes with parmesan breadcrumbs and lemon aioli, $8 Italian long hots stuffed with sausage, mozzarella and marinara, or any of the other bites available, none of which are over $8.(tncms-asset)0ad82204-479e-11e7-be3a-00163ec2aa77(/tncms-asset)
