{p class=”bodytextbodycopy”}Every holiday we endeavor to help out the last-minute gift buyers of the world, and Father’s Day is no exception. That said, it’s not lost on us how challenging it is to get dad the perfect gift. To make things a bit easier, we’ve attempted to suggest the perfect gift to satisfy fathers of every creed.

The Athletic Dad

It’s hard to find anything more quintessentially “dad” than a round of golf. Fortunately, for the athletic dad in your life, Blue Heron Pines has created a Father’s Day gift bag to save you a buck. It includes two rounds of golf with a cart (can be used Mondays to Thursdays any time and Fridays to Sundays and holidays after 1 p.m.), two medium range buckets, a Blue Heron Pines logo hat and a sleeve of ProV1 golf balls all for $150. One great thing about this gift is that it doesn’t have to be used on Father’s Day, so you can go for a round of golf with dad whenever it suits his schedule. Blue Heron Pines is at 550 Country Club Drive Egg Harbor City. For more information go to BlueHeronPines.com.

The Boozy Dad

If your dad has been known to slam back a few cocktails, we recommend a trip to Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar this Father’s Day. Head there on Sunday and receive a free Cuba Libre, made with Don Q Añejo rum and Coke and garnished with a lime, with any entree for your dad during lunch or dinner time. Come for the cocktail and stay for the new menu items, like crispy pork pata for two, 48-hour slow-cooked Berkshire pork shank and Moros y Cristianos. Cuba Libre is located in Tropicana at 2831 Boardwalk, Atlantic City. Go to Tropicana.net for more information.(tncms-asset)7ddb1d5e-4f8e-11e7-ba6f-00163ec2aa77(/tncms-asset)

The Foodie Dad

For those dads who just can’t seem to keep themselves out of the kitchen (or are permanently stationed at the backyard grill), why not pick them up a little something from Olive-n-Grape? This specialty store located in Smithville Village offers an incredible variety of gourmet olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Varieties range from traditional flavors to those accented with things like lemon and even bacon. Olive-n-Grape is located at 615 E. Moss Mill Road, Smithville. Go to OlivenGrape.com for more information.(tncms-asset)a951b318-4fa6-11e7-8dcb-00163ec2aa77(/tncms-asset)

The Techy/Gamer Dad

The Atlantic City Fan Xpo just opened up in Showboat Hotel, and it’s essentially a geek heaven. It has over 100 PCs, Xbox Ones, PS4s and retro consoles that you and your gamer dad can enjoy, plus a ton of games from new releases to classics. ACFX also has virtual reality consoles, so you can experience the fun of a VR game without the price tag. After an intense round of gaming, cool off with a board game — ACFX has walls lined with them, so expect the obscure. Tickets are $19 for a day pass on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. ACFX is at 801 Boardwalk Ave., Atlantic City. For more information go to ACFXPO.com.

The ‘Fun’ Dad

Dad like foolin’ around? Take him to the Father’s Day Fun Festival at Gardner’s Basin from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, where a whole mess of fun stuff will take place. First up, good eats from vendors like Corey’s Fish Fry, The Sweet Tooth, Kona Ice, Cannoli World, 3 Guys Rolling Pies, Moocheeze, Just Delicious Kettlecorn and others will keep dad satiated. The grub will also help keep his energy up for playing in the KidZone, where there will be a bounce house, cornhole, soccer, face painting, races and more. Plus, there will be father/child look-a-like and dress-a-like competitions with prizes and live music by The Remedy and 215. There is no cover charge, pay as you go. Gardner’s Basin is at 800 N. New Hampshire Ave., Atlantic City.
