Light show on the lake
Jonathon Peter Photography Historic Smithville Village is one of the best places to visit during the holidays. Head there on Thursday to see the kick off of its seasonal holiday light show.

Stop by Historic Smithville for its annual holiday light show, held beginning Thanksgiving day Thursday, Nov. 23, through Saturday, Jan. 6.

The show features more than 120 Christmas “trees,” comprised of more than 50,000 Christmas lights, floating on Lake Meone. The trees blink their lights in perfect timing to popular holiday tunes. The show takes place Thursdays through Sundays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
