Whoopi Goldberg gave a short but significant shout out to Atlantic City on Monday’s episode of “The View.”
“Most people don’t realize that Atlantic City is up and running. There’s a lot going on down there,” she said while explaining her visit to A.C. over the weekend.
She specifically lauded the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey, which has a home in the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University. The museum has over 11,000 artifacts that are showcased on a rotating basis, honoring African American ancestry.
Goldberg says she “got [her] mind kind of blown,” visiting Atlantic City, and praised the museum for being a great substitute for visiting the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C.
The museum can be found the Noyes Arts Garage at 2200 Fairmount Ave., Atlantic City. Go to AAHMSNJ.org for more information.
