Shannon was also the marketing director for the Shop Rite LPGA Benefit Association ('93-'95), assisting in the management of over 1,500 volunteer personnel. She was one of the original directors on the board of the Classic Partners ('03-'04), and was a co-chairperson for the Rainbow Golf Classic, which benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (an organization she's been active with for 27 years). Shannon is currently working on promoting the Kidney Foundation Walk in June to promote organ-donor awareness. Shannon is both a pancreas and kidney recipient.
