Snooki, The Situation, Jwoww and the rest of the "Jersey Shore" cast are back for a second season Thursday, July 29, on MTV. The third season will be back in New Jersey.
It’s a little weird lately with the words Jersey Shore popping up on news sites almost daily as the show is about to premiere its second season on Thursday, July 29. What’s weird is that the season, which features only one person from New Jersey in its cast and was filmed in Miami, is called Jersey Shore.
Still, the cast is on its way back to New Jersey with new contracts in hand (making a reported 30K an episode), to film a third season in Seaside Heights, N.J.
And like many, or maybe all New Jersey officials, Gov. Chris Christie says the show is a black eye for the Garden State.
ABC’s Jake Tapper asked Christie on the news show The Week Sunday, July 25, whether the Situation, Snooki, and the gang are “positive for New Jersey or negative.”
Christie answered “negative” without hesitation.
“What it does is it takes a bunch of New Yorkers — most of the people on Jersey Shore are New Yorkers — drops them at the Jersey shore and tries to make America feel like this is New Jersey,” Christie said.
“I could tell people, [if] they want to know what New Jersey really is? I welcome them to come to New Jersey any time. The Jersey shore is a beautiful place, and it's a place that everybody should come on vacation this summer,” he said.
“We’ve got another six weeks or so of summer left. Come to New Jersey.”
Meanwhile, MTV has some pretty sexy promos up for the new season, including this one:
Here are other promos and trailers for the show.
The 7-month pregnant reality TV star — and author — will appear at the grand opening of the Earl of Sandwich restaurant at Showboat July 25.
If you think of fighting and Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi you might imagine her in a major catfight with one of her gal pals from the show. Instead, however, the announcement is that Polizzi is getting into the legitimate boxing ring as a promoter.
MTV’s controversial Jersey Shore hits Miami for its second season (premiering July 29) and it looks like the trip south has made quite a difference on the kids. Judging from this clip, Snooki starts a bible study class, The Situation looks for a platonic relationship and Ronnie becomes an advocate of non-violence. Meanwhile Pauly D, JWow, [...]
Fans of MTV’s Jersey Shore are a little sad to the see the show air its season finale tonight (Jan. 21) (though a lot of Jersey Shore residents are probably glad to see the controversial show go), but The Late, Late Show With Craig Ferguson has the perfect remedy. The show will air a pretty [...]
Maybe it’s the constant fist pumping or all that hair gel. Maybe it’s the names the self-proclaimed Guidos and Guidettes dub themselves such as J-WOWW, Snooki and The Situation. Or it could be that apparently the cast of MTV’s controversial, but wildly successful 'Jersey Shore' can’t get through a one-hour episode without someone taking a swing at somebody else — other cast members, strangers, whatever.
