A "show us your paws" event is happening Sunday, Sept. 15, on the A.C. Boardwalk that could have the ancillary benefit of helping some of our furry four-legged friends find a permanent home. Dogs of all breeds will compete in four categories: bathing suit, talent, look like your owner, and on-stage question (bark on command). Winning dogs in each category will receive a “Bone and Biscuit” bouquet and crown, and the winning owners will get $250 in cash. Additionally, the Humane Society of Atlantic County and Ocean City will be on hand to showcase dogs for adoption. Pet lover and Lite Rock 96.9 DJ Eddie Davis will emcee the event.
