Calling all beautiful women out there. Yes, I mean you; do I have your attention?
I feel as though you need a good talking to about your wardrobe choices. No matter if you’re a plain Jane or a glamorous diva, you should still try to wear clothes that fit you properly and that show off your class — and not your ass.
I have seen some plain Janes with these baggy clothes that are so unbecoming to their bodies and these glamorous divas who think that wearing the shortest skirt or lowest-cut top will somehow make them look "hot."
It certainly will to some people but the question is: Why do we do this? Is it because it makes us feel sexier or maybe because we are trying to attract someone in order to score a date? Believe me, I understand the phases we go through where we want to show off our female bodies because we think it looks sexy, but whatever the case, I have found that men really like women who show off their natural beauty as well as exude a great personality.
Being natural doesn’t mean being boring, it just means you don’t need to wear the tightest, most revealing outfit ever along with caked-on makeup. You could still look very sexy in a classy way with minimal makeup to accent your already beautiful features. Likewise, you could be the hottest, sexiest girl out there, but if you don’t have a nice personality then forget it, baby, your beauty scale and approachability just went down.
Having a likeable personality doesn’t have to scare you either, it could just simply mean being a nice person, not necessarily being the life of the party. And another thing to remember is that your personality can absolutely outweigh your looks. All in all, the bottom line is if you are looking for fun then by all means, go ahead girl, and do your thing. But if you are looking for a serious relationship then you have to portray yourself as serious and with class. Let your natural beauty shine through because maybe you don’t see it, but some great person will.
Whitney’s Radar
As a Galloway resident I always feel lucky for the fact that I have the pleasure of walking through Historic Smithville at any time because I live so close. Recently I visited a friend of mine who owns Herban Legend Massage, which, by the way, is one of the most serene places to go for your mind, body and soul. I definitely recommend stopping in and chatting with my girl Quavin.
After my recent visit there, I noticed a great clothing store next door called Serenity Boutique. When I walked in, I Immediately fell in love. They have great design sense and they know how to order the right pieces that are in style and what I like to call “sexy-classy.” On their Facebook page they describe themselves as a trendy and classy fashion boutique. The truth is, I liked them so much that I already wore a fabulous outfit to an acweekly.com video shoot and I can’t wait to wear my new fall hound’s-tooth-pattern double-button Jacket in this chilly weather! You should definitely make this place a priority to visit when thinking of going shopping, especially since they just got in their new fall line. Plus, the owners and staff are super friendly and excited to gain your business. As they like to say, they are southern New Jersey’s best-kept fashion secret. They are located at 615 E Moss Mill Rd. in Smithville. Find them on Facebook too, because their page is always being updated with new designs and styles for all seasons. Make sure to tell Marvin and Mary I sent you!

“Good post, Whitney. We always struggle with fashion, no matter what our body style is or our age bracket.”
