Revel Right on Schedule

Atlantic City’s newest casino may have ranked eighth out of the 12 in terms of gaming revenue in May and June, but gaming was from the start only part of the total package the property proposed to bring to an Atlantic City entertainment environment yearning to become more diversified.

“What a bias article! Did Revel pay you to write this! seriously their in trouble! They need to make Borgata revenue to even make dents on their debt payments coming up. No way will their non-casino revenue make up the difference in their casino revenues don't go up. And 1 million more than last month means nothing to what they spent in slot dollars and marketing.”

“Comment #1 is crazy. That's like saying that Target beats Disney in retail, therefore Target is a more lucrative company. What you didn't factor in is the other forms of revenue that Disney has opposed to Target. So your argument is invalid.”

“Even if revenue has an uptick...is it sustainable once the novelty has worn off and/or the winter months roll in? of the 618k visitors, how many will return on a recurring basis and how many dollars per visitor were spent inside the Revel? Once these questions, and others, are answered, can you pass judgement on the viability of the Revel. Revel succeeding = great for AC!!

“When I look at Atlantic City, maybe I just see something different,” says DeSanctis. “What I see, when you go out on our Sky Garden or you go out on our deck, that’s sort of the Atlantic City that I think about. We have this incredible geographic location. We have 47 million people within a six-hour drive of this place, and when we think about options from a resort perspective in the Northeast, there really aren’t any. "
