Volunteer Manager, Covenant House Crisis Shelter and Program
Dena Ferone serves as the volunteer manager at Covenant House Crisis Shelter and Program in Atlantic City. Prior to this role, Dena worked directly with the area’s homeless youth population, helping them to develop action plans. She obtained her master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University in 2013. In her current role at Covenant House, Dena helps to create awareness about the amazing services they provide and encourages the community to get involved and donate their time and talents through volunteer opportunities. In addition to her full-time role at Covenant House, for the past three years Dena has worked at the Mental Health Association of Atlantic County as a Sandy disaster case manager. She has not only assisted Sandy survivors with their case-management recovery needs, but has physically volunteered to help with the renovations and rebuilding of homes. Dena brings life to all those she comes across every day by radiating hope and kindness. Her smile, energy and passion are contagious and her love for both Covenant House and the Mental Health Association is unconditional.
