Josie Kelly's Public House

Josie Kelly’s Public House in Somers Point will be the place to be on Friday.

Looking for a night out that covers all your bases? Head to Josie Kelly’s Public House Friday, March 29, for a girl’s night of comedy, music, cocktails and chocolate. The Whine, Women & Song event, a fundraiser for FACES 4 Autism, kicks off at 6 p.m. Here are five reasons to check it out.

1 The laughs. With comedian Tracy Locke taking the stage, things are bound to be fun. A professional comic for over 12 years, Locke has hosted television, live events and award shows, and she’s perfect for a girl’s night of comedy.

2 The music. What’s better than a night out with your girlfriends, laughing your #%@ off? Laughing your #%@ off and then kicking back to some tunes. The Whine, Women & Song event features entertainment from singer Amanda Desouza, who will be accompanied by a pianist and singer — perfect for enjoying over cocktails.

3 Chocolate. It’s not just chocolate. It’s chocolate from MADE Chocolate Bar in Atlantic City, the brainchild of culinary team Mark and Deb Pellegrino. Whether it’s their truffles, sea salt, milk or dark orange chocolate, there isn’t a bad bite to be found.

4 Wine. There’s nothing like doing good while having fun, so be sure to order a few glasses of wine at the Whine, Women & Song event. A portion of the proceeds from the wine sales will be donated back to FACES 4 Autism’s Girls Program. And if wine’s not your thing, the cash bar has plenty of cocktails available, too.

5 Appetizers. Hungry? That won’t be a problem at Whine, Women & Song, where the appetizers will include house favorites from Josie Kelly’s, including potato cakes, Guinness BBQ meatballs, and Irish sausage rolls. Can you say “yum?”
