Memorial Day Weekend is an exciting time. It’s a time when Atlantic City, and all the other charming, beautiful shore towns here in South Jersey are bustling with activity. Life is more lively, days are longer, the weather is warmer, — it’s a whole new season to accessorize for. There are outdoor concerts, summer holidays, beach barbecues, new menus at our favorite restaurants, and with all of that comes an opportunity to rock the right outfit for every occasion.
From one-piece sunnies to two-piece styles, summer 2019’s hottest trends will have you feeling fresh and fabulous until the sun goes down. Here are some of our favorite picks for summer just in time for Memorial Day Weekend.
The super-sized “one-piece” of shades once donned by snowboarders and athletes has become one of the hottest trends in sunglasses ever since designers like Stella McCartney used the aerodynamic shape throughout their 2019 runway shows. These trendy specs also offer the most coverage and protection from the sun, due to their oversized nature, which is an added bonus. Extra sun protection is always extra chic.

If you purchase only one new dress for summer, opt for one that boasts ruching, which does a few game-changing things for the figure. One, it takes a regular garment up a notch, offering an eye-catching embellishment on any typical dress, but ruching, in all the right places, can be ultra figure-flattering, adding curves to those with more straight, A-line frames and offering stretchable coverage to those with fuller siloheuttes.
Two is better than one
Two-piece sets for summer, along with cut-outs at the waist are another summer season staple.
This Forever 21 hybrid, on left, combines these two hot trends — two pieces AND ruching — with a look that can be dressed up or down.
